Recipe for Chicken Khati Roll

Ingredients

  • For paratha:
  • Flour 2 cups
  • Carom seeds ½ tsp
  • Nigella seeds 1/3 tsp
  • Clarified butter 2 tbsp
  • Oil to fry
  • Salt to taste
  • For filling:
  • Chicken Boneless ½ kg
  • Cabbage 1 cup
  • Onion (sliced) 1
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Capsicum 1
  • Carrot 1
  • Chaat masala ½ tsp
  • Lemon juice 2 tbsp
  • Soya sauce 2 tbsp
  • Oregano a pinch
  • Green onion ½ cup
  • Garlic (chopped) 1 tbsp
  • Black pepper 1 tsp
  • Red chili flakes 1 tsp
  • Oil 2-3 tbsp
  • Salt to taste

Cooking Directions

To prepare paratha:
Take 2 cups flour, ½ tsp carom seeds, 1/3 tsp nigella seeds, 2 tbsp clarified butter and salt in a mixing bowl and mix it.

Add in water as required to knit the flour.

Make small ball and then roll them.

Fry the parathas and keep them aside.

To filling:
Take 2-3 tbsp oil in the pan and heat it. saute 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste in it.

Slightly fry one onion and add ½ kg chicken strips in it.

When the color of the chicken changes, add in sliced cabbage, onion, capsicum, ½ tsp chaat masala, 2 tbsp soya sauce, 4-5 chopped green chilies, ½ chopped green onion, 1 tbsp chopped garlic, 1 tsp black pepper, 1 tsp red chili flakes and salt.

Cook it. in the end, add lemon juice and a pinch of oregano mix it and remove it from the stove.

Fill te mixture in the paratha and serve.
