Recipe for Khatti Moong Masoor Ki Daal
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup Split green lentils
- 1/2 cup Red lentils
- 2 Tomatoes
- 12 Button red chilies
- 50 gm Dry mango
- 1 tsp Turmeric
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp All spice powder
- Ingredients for Tarka :
- 4 cloves Garlic
- 6 Curry leaves
- 1/2 cup Oil
- 2 tsp Cumin seeds
- Green chilies for garnish
- Coriander leaves for garnish
Cooking Directions
Wash 1/2 cup split green lentils and 1/2 cup red lentils.
Boil with 2 tomatoes, 12 button red chilies, 50 gm dry mango, 1 tsp turmeric, 1 tsp salt and 2 glasses of water till tender.
Now mash the lentils well. heat 1/2 cup oil in pan, add 6 curry leaves, 4 cloves of garlic and 2 tsp cumin seeds.
Fry well and pour on top of lentils mixture.
Garnish with chopped green chilies and coriander leaves.
Serve hot.
