Recipe for Loki ka Khatta Daalcha
Ingredients
- Brown Lentil 1 cup
- Bottle Gourd 1 kg
- Ginger garlic Paste 1 tbsp
- Red chili powder 1 tbsp
- Turmeric 1 tsp
- Green chilies 4
- Curry leaves few leaves
- Salt to taste
- Tamarind Pulp 1 cup
- Cinnamon powder (roasted) 1 tsp
- Oil 1 cup
Cooking Directions
Wash brown lentil with lukewarm water.
Add water in cooking pan and boil lentil until soft.
Blend the lentil in blander.
Take a pan and warm oil then add ginger garlic paste, red chili powder, and turmeric. Cook about 2-3 minutes.
Stir in bottle gourd then add blended lentil, green chilies, curry leaves and salt.
Add ½ cup water and cook until bottle gourd is soft.
When bottle gourd is tender, add tamarind pulp, sprinkle cinnamon powder and simmer for 5 minutes.
Delicious Loki ka Khatta Daalcha is ready.
