Recipe for White Milky Bread

Ingredients

  • 3 cups all purpose flour(
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 1/2 Tbs Yeast
  • 1 teaspoons salt
  • 1 1/2 cups water( or as required)
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoons butter

Cooking Directions

In large bowl combine 1 cups flour, sugar, undissolved yeast, and salt.

Heat water, milk, and butter until very warm (120 to 130oF); stir into dry ingredients.

Beat 2 minutes at medium speed of electric mixer scraping bowl occasionally or use hands to mix it.

Stir in 1 cup flour; beat at high speed for 2 minutes scraping bowl occasionally or knead well with hands.

Stir in remaining flour to make soft dough.

Knead on lightly floured surface until smooth and elastic. Roll dough on a flat surface to 12 x 7inch rectangle.

Beginning at one end of rectangle, roll up tightly as for jelly roll or as we roll during paratha making.

Pinch seams and ends to seal.

Place, seam sides down, in greased 8 x 4 inch loaf pans. Cover; let rise in warm, draft free place until doubled in size for about 1hr.

Beat one agg and brush a little over the dough top just before baking Bake at 400oF for 25 to 30 minutes or until done.

Remove from pans; cool on wire rack.Slice when bread is cooled down and store in a shopper closed tightly so that its moisture is not wasted.
