Recipe for Roghni Korma
Ingredients
- 1 kilogram chicken
- 1 cup yogurt, whipped
- 1/2 cup clarified butter
- 1 tablespoon mixed whole spices
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 teaspoon salt
- Ground to Paste:
- 2 onion, chopped
- 2 inch piece garlic
- 6 ginger cloves
- 12 button red chili
- 1 tablespoon poppy seeds, heaped
- 1 1/2 teaspoon whole coriander seeds
Cooking Directions
Ground to Paste:
Combine all ingredients of paste and prepare the spice paste.
Heat clarified butter and fry whole mix spices.
Add the ground spice paste, fry well till clarified butter comes on top.
Add whipped yoghurt with chicken fry well for 10 minutes.
Add 1 cup water, cover and simmer on low flame till chicken tender and thick gravy remains.
Serve with sheermaal.
