Recipe for Jahangiri Chicken

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ lb chicken breast cut into 1" cubes
  • 2 lbs fresh ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tsp white pepper powder
  • ½ cup cheddar cheese grated
  • 1/3 cup cheddar cheese grated for topping
  • 1 lb finely chopped green chillies
  • ½ tsp cardamom powder
  • ¼ tsp levelled jaifal, javetri powder (mace and nutmeg)
  • 2 tbsp coriander leaves chopped finely
  • 1 egg
  • 4 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • ½ cup tahini
  • Wooden skewers soaked for 2 hrs

Cooking Directions

Marinate the chicken cubes with ginger garlic paste, salt and white pepper and leave for an hour.

Take ½ cup cheddar cheese and mash it with finger add all the other ingredients and mix properly.

Add the marinated chicken and mix.

Thread the wooden skewers with the chicken pieces. Place on greased oven tray.

Put all the left marinade on top of the skewers, sprinkle all left grated cheese on top.

Bake on preheated oven at 180°C- 350°F for 30 min Glaze it with butter. You can BBQ it as well.

Garnish with tahini.
