Recipe for Italian Meatballs
Ingredients
- marinara sauce (homemade or store-bought)
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup skim milk
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1 tablespoon parsley
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon ground pepper
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Cooking Directions
In a large pot, have the marina sauce already made and set the heat to Low.
In large bowl, mix the ground beef, egg, milk, breadcrumbs, salt, oregano, parsley, garlic powder, ground pepper, and Parmesan cheese.
Roll the meat mixture into meatballs about the size of a golf ball.
Drop the raw meatballs into the pot of marinara sauce and simmer for 3 hours. Store in an air tight container in the refrigerator or freezer.
