Recipe for Tarkewali Dal

Ingredients

  • 1 cup red splitted gram
  • 2 Onion (chopped)
  • 6 Garlic chopped
  • 1 tbsp ginger chopped
  • 6 Green chili (chopped)
  • 1 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • to taste salt
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 2 Curry leave (Kurhi patta)
  • 2 tbsps Coriander leaves chopped
  • 5 tbsps oil
  • Water

Cooking Directions

Clean and wash dal, add water, half the onions with sugar and salt and cook over slow fire until soft. Mash and mix

Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds, chili powder, curry leaves, onion, ginger, garlic. Fry until brown

Now pour the mixture over the dal Mix it and serve hot
