Recipe for DUM KA MURGH ZAFRANI
Ingredients
- 1 kilo Chicken pieces
- 1 1/2 cups Clarified butter
- 4 tbsps Onion (sliced)
- 4 tsps coriander powder
- 2 tbsps Garlic paste
- 1 1/4 cups Yogurt
- to taste Salt
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 1/2 cup Warm water
- 1 cup Water
- 5 tbsps Almonds (soaked & ground)
- 1 tsp Saffron
Cooking Directions
Heat 1 1/4 cup clarified butter in a pan and saute’ onions till brown.
Remove, drain excess clarified butter and blend to make paste
Heat the remaining clarified butter, add all the ingredients except onion paste,almond paste and saffron.Stir-fry for few mins
Add the chicken pieces and cook on low flame till half-done
Stir in the onion paste,almond paste and saffron, reduce heat to low and cook till the chicken pieces are tender
Remove from fire and serve hot
