Recipe for Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients
- Butter, softened 2/3 cup
- Light brown sugar, firmly packed 1 cup
- Egg, room temperature 1
- Pure vanilla extract 2 tsp
- Rolled oats 1, 1/2 cup
- All-purpose flour 1 cup
- Baking powder 1/2 tsp
- Baking soda 1/2 tsp
- Salt 1/4 tsp
- Chocolate chips 1, 1/2 cup
Cooking Directions
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).
In large bowl, cream butter and sugar together with a mixer until light and fluffy.
Beat in egg and vanilla extract until well blended.
In a separate bowl, whisk oats, flour baking powder, baking soda and salt together.
Stir dry ingredients into butter mixture by hand.
Stir in chocolate chips.
Drop heaping 1 tbsp measure mixture onto prepared pan about two inches apart.
Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until light golden brown. Don''t over-bake.
Transfer cookies to baking rack to cool.
Store in airtight container.
