Recipe for Tandoori Korma

Ingredients

  • Chicken 1 kg (boneless)
  • Yogurt ½ kg
  • Nutmeg powder (1 pinch)
  • Mace powder(1 pinch)
  • Bay leaves 2
  • Green cardamoms 3 – 4
  • Cinnamon sticks 2 – 3
  • Cloves 4 – 5
  • Whole Black pepper 5 – 10
  • Garlic 10 gm
  • Ginger 10 gm
  • Onion 100 gm (fried)
  • Lemon juice ¼ cup
  • Cumin and coriander seeds 1 tsp (roasted)
  • Red chili powder 1 tbsp
  • Turmeric powder ½ tsp
  • Saffron color ¼ tsp
  • Oil 3 tbsp
  • Screw Pine Essence (few drops)
  • Salt to taste

Cooking Directions

In a blender jug, add yogurt, fried onion, roasted cumin and coriander seeds, turmeric powder, red chili powder, saffron color, salt, nutmeg powder, mace powder, lemon juice, kewra water, garlic and ginger and blend.

Add this blended paste in a bowl.

Add the chicken, cloves, whole black peppers, green cardamoms, cinnamon sticks, bay leaves and oil to the paste and marinate for 30 minutes.

Add the marinated chicken to a baking tray and bake in a pre heated oven at 250°C for 12 – 15 minutes.

Garnish with chopped coriander, mint and ginger.

Serve with naan.
