Recipe for Burmese Rice

Ingredients

  • For Gravy:
  • Oil 1/4 cup
  • Sliced onion 1
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Red chili 1 tbsp
  • Coriander powder 1 tbsp
  • Turmeric 1/4 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Beef 1 kg
  • Curd 1 cup
  • Tomato 3
  • Coconut powder as required
  • Whole spice powder 1 tsp
  • For Rice:
  • Oil 1/2 cup
  • Sesame seeds 3 tbsp
  • Chopped garlic 1 tsp
  • Red chili 1 tsp
  • Turmeric 1/4 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Rice as required
  • Spaghetti (boiled) 1/2 pack
  • For Garnishing:
  • Boiled eggs 6
  • Chopped green chilies 10
  • Finely chopped coriander 1/2 bunch
  • French fries as required
  • Chaat Spice to sprinkle
  • Fried Spaghetti 1 cup

Cooking Directions

For Gravy: Saute’ onion in oil.

Then add ginger garlic paste, red chili, coriander powder, salt and turmeric and cook on low heat.

Add beef and cook for 4-5 minutes.

Then add curd, tomato and cook for 8-10 minutes. So that the excess water evaporates.

In the end add coconut powder and whole spice powder.

For Rice: Heat oil and add sesame seeds, chopped garlic, red chili, turmeric and salt.

Then add already soaked rice in it.

Add as much water as required so that the rice cooks properly.

Boil the Spaghetti separately.

Take out rice in a platter.

Pour gravy on them and then place spaghetti on the top.

Garnish with chopped coriander, green chilies, boiled eggs and fried Spaghetti.

At sides place French fries and sprinkle chaat spice on top and serve.
