Recipe for Sabzi Chicken Biryani

Ingredients

  • 1 kg chicken, cut into 16 pieces
  • 1/2 kg rice, soaked
  • 1 cu oil
  • 1/2 cup p brown onion
  • 1-1/2 cups french beans, cut into 1 inch pieces
  • 1/2 cup green peas
  • 4 bunches fenugreek leaves, finely chopped
  • 1/2 bunch dill, finely chopped
  • 3 potatoes, cut into medium cubes
  • 2 tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tsp red chili powder
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder

Cooking Directions

Boil rice with 1 tsp salt until 3/4 cooked.
Drain and keep aside.

Heat oil in a deep skillet over medium heat.Add ginger garlic paste,turmeric powder, red chili powder, salt and tomatoes.

Cook well until oil comes out on top. Now add 1/2 cup brown onion and chicken.

Cook for 5-10 minutes or until its change colour. Now add all vegetables with 1-½ cup water.

Cover with a lid and cook for 20 minutes or until chicken and vegetables are tender.

Place the boil rice over it. Sprinkle remaining brown onion and coriander leaves on it.

Drizzle lemon juice over it. mCover tightly, cook on dum for 15 minutes.

Transfer into a serving dish. Sabzi Chicken Biryani is ready now. Serve hot.
