Recipe for Daal Gosht
Ingredients
- Boneless mutton pieces – 1kg
- Masoor dal – 200 g
- Oil – 5 to 6 tbsp
- Onions(sliced) – 2
- Cumin powder – 1tsp
- Garlic ginger paste – 2 tbsp
- Red chilli powder – 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
- Coriander powder – 2 1/2 tsp
- Garam masala – 1 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Lemon juice – 1 1/2 tbsp
- Coriander leaves for garnishing
Cooking Directions
Take pressure cooker and boil mutton pieces with salt, daal, and 2 tbsp of oil. Boil till the dal gets soft and keep it aside.
Meanwhile take a non-stick kadai and add 2 tbsp of oil in it.
Add sliced onions to it and fry until they get into golden brown color.
Next add ginger garlic paste and fry this mixture for a minute
Next add the coriander, cumin, turmeric, red chili and garam masala powder. Fry this mixture until the oil gets separated from the masala.
Now add the boiled daal-meat to this mixture and mix it well.
Once the mixture gets boiled, cook it for another 10 minutes on a low flame.
Now take off from the fire, add lime juice, stir well and garnish with coriander leaves.
Now your Daal Gosht is ready.
