• 1/2-cup margarine or butter
• 3/4-cup white sugar
• 1-egg beaten
• 1-cup buttermilk
• 1-tsp salt
• 1 1/2-cup diced apple
• 1-cup all-purpose flour
• 3/4-cup whole wheat flour
• 1-tsp baking soda
• 1-tsp cinnamon
• Topping
• 1-tsp cinnamon
• 2 to 3-tbsp white sugar

Blend margarine, sugar and egg until smooth

Add buttermilk, salt, apples and mix well

Stir together flour, baking soda and cinnamon; stir to moisten
Spoon into greased muffin cups
Sprinkle with topping

Bake @375*F for 20 minutes
