Recipe for Pineapple custards cups
Ingredients
- 500 gm —- pineapple chunks in syrup, drained, syrup reserved
- Half cup —- sugar
- Quarter cup —- flour
- One-eighth tsp —- salt
- 3 tbsp —- lemon juice
- Grated peel from one lemon
- 3 —- egg yolks beaten
- 2 tbsp —- melted butter
- Three-forth cup —- milk
- 3 —- egg whites, beaten
Cooking Directions
Preheat oven. Mix sugar, flour & salt; add pineapple syrup, lemon juice, peel, egg yolks, the melted butter & milk.
Put equal portions of pineapple chunks in 6 custard cups; pour custard mixture over pineapple chunks.
Place custard cups in large baking pan, place in oven.
Then pour about 1 inch of hot water into the larger pan.
Bake for 45 to 50 minutes, or until a knife inserted in centre comes out clean.
