Recipe for Lamb Balti Tikka
Ingredients
- 1/2 kg Mutton, cut into strips
- 100 grams Yogurt
- 1– T-sp ground cumin
- 1–large green bell pepper, seeded and sliced,
- 1–T-sp ground coriander
- 1–T-bsp tomato paste
- 1–T-sp chilli powder
- 1–T-sp garlic pulp
- 1–T-sp salt
- 1–T-sp garam masala
- 2–T-bsp chopped fresh coriander
- 2–T-bsp lemon juice
- 2–T-bsp corn oil
- 3–large fresh red chillies.
Cooking Directions
Put the lamb strips, chilli powder, ground cumin, yogurt, ground coriander, salt, garam masala, garlic, fresh coriander and lemon juice into a large bowl and stir thoroughly.
Set to aside for at least one hour to marinate. Warm up the oil in a deep round bottomed frying pan. or a medium (karahi).Lower the heat slightly and mix the tomato puree. add the lamb strips to the pan, a few a time, leaving any Excess marinade behind in the bowl.Cook the lamb, stirring normally, for 7 to 10 minutes or until it is become golden browned. Then add the green (bell) pepper slices and the red chillies.
Heat through, inspect that the lamb is cooked through.
Balti Lamb Tikka is ready to serve.
Serve hot with naan and raita!
