In 2005 she did an advertisment for Lux Soap. She started her film career as Mumtaaj mahal in Taj Mahal: An Eternal Love Story (2005). Actor and model Zulfi Sayed played the role of Shah Jahan opposite her. In 2007 she appeared in Shiney Ahuja and Soha Ali Khan starring Khoya Khoya Chand where she played a character named Ratanbala.
Karan Johar's My Name Is Khan (2010) is her upcoming release. Superstar Shahrukh Khan and Kajol are playing the lead roles in this film.
Sonya Jehan was born as Sonya Rizvi and she is a Pakistani-French actress. Jehan's debut film was the big-budget period epic romance Taj Mahal: An Eternal Love Story in 2005. Jehan's original name was Sonya Rizvi but she changed her last name to Jehan in honor of her grandmother, Noor Jehan, who is a Pakistani singer and Lollywood (Pakistani cinema actress) actress.
Jehan's father is Akbar Hussain Rizvi, who is the eldest son of Noor Jehan. Jehan's mother is Florence Rizvi, who is of French descent and lives in Karachi, Pakistan. She is the owner of Karachi's only French restaurant, Cafe Flo. Jehan had her early education in Pakistan, she did her O-levels from Centre of Advanced Studies or CAS. And she did her A-Levels from The Lyceum School. Jehan received a degree in design from St. Martin's College of Art and Design and is currently married to Vivek Narain, an Indian banker.
Jehan was also featured in an ad for Lux Soap in 2005. In 2007, she appeared in the film Khoya Khoya Chand and currently she appears in her biggest film to date My Name is Khan.
