In order to combat the terrorism; we need aggressive, defiant, ruthless, flexible, brave, and relentless attitude. These are the rare qualities which Chaudhry Aslam, the martyred SSP CID, brought to the table. He was attacked multiple times, his home was blasted while his children were sleeping inside, his office was targeted and many of his companions were killed. Yet he stood there with his full height and challenged the terrorists in most stern way.
Superintendent of (CID) Police Chaudhry Muhammad Aslam who embraced martyrdom in a Taliban suicide attack, was even demoted by the former chief justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry. But even that blow didn’t dent the mettle of this son of the soil, who never bothered about the titles and protocols. Interestingly enough, he wasn’t particularly pressed for his own security, and on the other side former chief justice is these days pressurizing the PML-N government through present chief justice to give him a bullet proof car and his former official squad.
Having said that where exactly is our interior minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan? Where is his fabled Karachi operation? The arrogance, ego, and pride of Chaudhry Nisar is too much to let him come in front of public and accept responsibility. He is perhaps too busy mourning the killings of his mates in the FATA, who are the worst enemies of Pakistan. Why don’t he goes ahead and join the sit-in of PTI and also take people like Sami ul Haq with him? Where Chaudhry Nisar is arrogant and scared, Chaudhry Aslam always went extra miles to perform his duties. When Chaudhry Nisar is arrested in his egos, Chaudhry Aslam was one of those rare battle-hardened CID officers who never flinch in the face of clear and present danger evident from his leading some daring operations, and the whole Karachi is witnessed of that.
