Kanwal wife of Sikandar accused in Islamabad terror incident also burst against her husband saying he is addict and she did not know that he would enact such a drama in federal capital. Recording her statement with police during the investigation Kanwal said that she had contracted love marriage with Sikandar and later she came to know that he was addict. However he loves religion, she added.
Sikandar took me and two children from Hafiz Abad on Auqust, 11 for undertaking a joy trip. We stayed in Islamabad for one day and then we left for Murree. A day later we returned to Islamabad and stayed in a hotel. We all headed towards Blue area in our rented car on August, 15. Police intercepted us and Sikandar started threatening police”, she added. Kanwal further stated that she was not expecting Sikandar would stage any drama in Islamabad by opening fire. It was learnt from two children of Sikandar who are present in women police station that first wife of their father is an Arab national.
