President Asif Ali Zardari has approved conferring Sitara Imtiaz in the field of performing art on veteran actor Qavi Khan.
Khan is one of the actors who performed in almost all departments of performing art and got fame. He started his career in 1952 from Radio Pakistan and got Life Time Achievement Award. He was the first ever hero of any Pakistan Television drama.
Khan played several roles in Urdu films.
