The government on Tuesday extended an agreement with India for the rail link between the two states — originating from Khokhrapar at Pakistan's southern border to Munabao — for an additional three years, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said. The extension period of the agreement between the two nations starts February 1, 2018, and will now last until January 31, 2021. Originally signed in 2006, the agreement was aimed to facilitate people-to-people contacts, which Pakistan believes are essential to improving bilateral relations, the Foreign Office said in its statement.
