Karachi: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced squad for Asia Cup here on Saturday. Misbaul haq has been retained captain.
The PCB has made three changes in the team dropping all-rounder Shoaib Malik and opening batsmen Imran Farhat due to their poor performances in series against England while wicket-keeper Adnan Akmal was also dropped from the team.
Batsmen Nasir Jamshed and wicket keeper Sarfaraz Ahmed were given a chance to prove their abilities.
The Pakistani team would consist of Misbah-ul-Haq (captain), Sarfaraz Ahmed (wicket Keeper), Younus Khan, Shahid Afridi, Azhar Ali, Asad Shafique, Umar Akmal, Mohammed Hafeez, Nasir Jamshed, Hammad Azam, Saeed Ajmal, Abdul Rehman, Aizaz Cheema, Umar Gul and Wahab Riaz.
The Asia Cup would commence from March 11 in Bangladesh. India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh would participate in the tournament.
