DG KP Ehtesab Commission Lt Gen (retd) M Hamid Khan was a heart broken man when he left his anti-corruption office amidst emotional farewell of his staff. The whole office including officers, staff and even peons were teary eyed as the old warrior left miserably after PTI’s provincial government didn’t like accountability. This is what Ansar Abbasi called official joining of PTI to the status quo. In Pakistan political parties like PMLN, PPP, ANP, MQM and others are known to try their best to control, manipulate or rendering accountability institutions impotent. PTI has followed the same course and why not. PTI basically comprises of all the thrown out and discarded status quo entities from traditional parties.
Imran Khan once again takes u-turn. His lies, deception, and hollow claims have once again been exposed in broad day light. Just months ago, he was boasting that they had created a vibrant and independent accountability commission in KP, and now the same commission has resigned. Early on, Imran Khan ousted his allies of Sherpao party on the charges of corruption but now those same people are once again part of the cabinet. There are serious charges of corruption and nepotism on almost all ministers in KP including the chief minister Pervaiz Khattak and that is why they have made their own ehtasab commission useless. PTI is just an eyewash and a pipe dream. The sooner we get rid of it, the better for the country.
