Massive PTI Rally in Karachi – Goodbye MQM

From Malir to Quaid’s mausoleum in Karachi, it was a throbbing display of peoples’ power by joint rally led by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan and Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Amir, Sirajul Haq. It was a unique amalgamation of right wingers and a liberal outlook. Local government elections in Karachi on this Dec 5 are all set to be held. This time they will be arranged under the watchful eye of Pakistan army and so there is no chance for MQM to rig them on the polling day. The real worry is their threatening tactics before and after the elections. They showed that in NA246 by-elections.

Massive PTI Rally in Karachi – Goodbye MQM

The massive street power shown by PTI yesterday proves yet again that Karachiites take Imran Khan as their savoir and political messiah. They believe in Imran Khan and trust him to improve their lives which have been hijacked by MQM for so long. Rangers’ operation in Karachi is gradually improving the situation but the real change will come when MQM is dislodged from the power centers. PTI is the only hope here. It’s very good that Imran Khan is here at last. We need him in Karachi. We need him to stay here for a longer period and personally monitor and manage the election campaigns and political awareness. He must ensure people that he will be with them when there will be nobody else. It’s time to say goodbye to MQM.
