Pakistan has got its first array of pink rickshaws exclusively for the ladies in Punjab’s city of Lahore. These autos will be driven by girls for the girls. There will be no male interference in this whole process. Working ladies and the female students are extremely happy about it. Regardless of everything else, the Punjab government has really brought a revolution in the public transport in their province. They have built and running very successful metro bus service in Lahore and Rawalpindi and building another one in Multan. They are also building Orange metro train in Lahore.
And now they have started this pink rickshaw scheme in Lahore. Ambassador of pink rickshaw Nadia Jamil says that now ladies will feel safe traveling in the rickshaw as no one would be there to harass them or ogle at them. This is so true and comforting.
