These days whichever TV channel you open up and watch the talk show, every anchor, journalist, analyst and talking mouth is pretending that they all were against or skeptical about the PTI’s last year sit-in in Islamabad and they all were against Imran’s adventures. U-turns of Imran Khan are at one side, these anchors must be exposed. The whole channels ARY and its anchors, the whole channel like Dunya TV and its anchors, the whole channel like Abb Tak, Samaa, News One and its anchors were part of the London plan conspiracy to attack installations in Islamabad and oust the elected government.
For example, I was hearing the anchor of Kashif Abbassi the other day saying that he was also apprehensive and skeptical about Dr. Qadri and Imran Khan and their timings to enter Islamabad and their motives. Now this is the same anchor who ran marathon live telecast of those sit-in and processions and was practically inciting them. ARY was at the forefront in broadcasting false news to spread anarchy and chaos. People like Mubasher Lucman, Kashif Abbasi, Javed Chaudhry, Shahid Masood, Haroon Rashid, Hassan Nisar, Jasmeen Manzoor, Moeed Pirzada, Kamran Shahid and various others were paid mouth pieces. They are national criminals.
But there are some good and honest people who refused to tow the line of rogue section of the then establishment and remained steadfast and neutral and called a spade a spade. They include Murtaza Solangi, Mushtaq Minhas, Nusrat Javed, Absar Alam, and to some extent Talat Hussain. They faced ridicule of their colleagues in media, threats from establishment and PTI, and abuses at the social media but they didn’t flinched. Salute to them and them must be honored. The were honorable journalists who exposed PTI dharna and they must not be forgotten. They are hallmark of good journalism in Pakistan and are a beacon for the posterity.
