I am a very big fan of Faysal Quraishi and I am sending this email to all media I know of, to bring to their notice how one of the most popular plays of last year, Bashar Momin, was ignored in the nominations of the upcoming Lux Style Awards 2015. Bashar Momin was one of the top plays of last year with very high TRPs. The show got a lot of media and social media attention, which is why it has been chosen to air on India’s leading channel Zee Zindagi channel and plethora of others.

 

 

I am shocked about how the show has been totally left out in the Lux Style Awards nominations, and it puts a very serious question mark on the jury and criteria of selection of the awards. If you take a closer look at the nominations, you will see how there are also other nominations which are also very questionable. As a fan of Faysal and the show Bashar Momin, I wanted to bring this to the notice of everyone who can speak out about this. I request that you please try to bring this to the attention of more people so that our award shows don’t become all about favoritism. Since our industry has just started growing, it is very important that our award shows maintain their credibility.
