Things are tough for the MQM in Karachi and in London for sure for quite sometime. Intensity of crisis is only increasing with new spices thrown into the mix with each passing week from various angles. From Imran Farooq assassination to money laundering and from training of workers in India to getting funds from RAW. MQM cannot rule all of it out simply by terming it as propaganda. Military establishment has clearly told civilian government of PML-N that they won’t accept anything less than treason case under article 6 against MQM and its leadership in London. Governer Sindh Ishratul Ebas has already promised with Rawalpindi to divulge as much information as he can. So far he has proven instrumental in mounting an airtight case against MQM. It’s not secret anymore that Eshratul Ebad has spilled beans about MQM. This hasn’t started yesterday. MQM knew it for some months and first they tried to woo back governor and then ousted him from party after failing to in that.
Ishratul Ebad himself got trained in India in early 90s and he has told establishment all about the network of MQM which spans from Karachi to South Africa and from Dubai to London. There are also some training camps for MQM workers operated by RAW in Nigeria. There is one camp located at Andaman Islands in the Indian ocean. India provides funds to MQM London office through Dubai. Muhammad Anwar and Tariq Mir are contact person between Altaf Hussain and RAW. In Pakistan, selection of MQM workers to be sent to India for training is done by Wasim Akhtar and is approved by Farooq Sattar. Money obtained from extortion, China cutting, and kidnapping is managed by Babar Ghauri and Haider Abbass Rizvi. In total there are 150 high value targets of MQM in Karachi which are under scrutiny of agencies. It is said that by apprehending these people, MQM’s backbone will be broken. But first target is nabbing of Altaf in London.
