While PPP enjoys land-grabbing under supervision of Malik Riaz in Karachi; the Pakistan rangers have done a quality and on-merit operation at the 90 headquarters of Muttahida Qaumi Movement of Altaf Hussain. This was long due and was inevitable operation by the authorities. Pakistan rangers will continue and they have full support of Pakistan army as corps commander Karachi visited Ranger’s headquarters and congratulated them on this successful operation in which sophisticated arms and arrest of most-wanted criminals was the outcome. MQM as usual is crying of political victimization. They have been exposed time and again and there is so much evidence against them. Yet such is their fear that the TV channels and their anchors are very much reluctant to speak out against this terror outfit.
One of the interesting aspect of this whole operation 90 is the coming of Chairman Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan and interior minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on the same page. Both have long antagonism toward MQM and they have vented it out again. MQM’s Waseem Akhtar ridiculed Chaudhry Nisar’s wig and MQM coined the term Mr. Bean for him. Chaudhry Nisar is not the one who forgets or forgives. Same is the case with Imran Khan who cannot forget or forgive MQM for raising Sita White issue. Both are now defending and supporting the operation. Imran says that this operation should have happened sooner, whereas Chaudhry Nisar says that it had full support of Federal and Sindh government and it will continue come what may. The national mood is also against MQM and Karachi also wants to get rid of this party or at least its violent streak. May be that time has come now as establishment has also become fed up of control of Karachi from London.
