Karachi: Senior Pakistani TV and film actress Tamanna Begum passed away here on Monday.
Her funeral prayer would be offered at Rehmania Mosque in North Nazimabad area of Karachi after Zohar prayer.
According to reports, she said suffering from kidney problem.
She peaked in the 1970s and 1980s. Just like many other Pakistani actors and actresses of that time, her affiliation with the media started with Radio Pakistan.
She was a radio presenter in the 1960s, and then started doing some theater plays.
Her performances quickly established her as a rising star, and she rose to fame. Tamanna started acting in Lollywood, and quickly rose to fame with her robust performances.
She has acted alongside popular stars such as Talat Iqbal and Waheed Murad, and her films were huge successes. However, the demise of Lollywood was a real blow to her career,and she had to settle for acting in television plays.
