Nightlife in Islamabad got heated up again last night when young boys and girls danced on the beat of PTI music and flirted with the idea of revolution. Their ego-beaten leader Imran Khan took various u-turns and dished out plans like hot cakes. Starting from London Plan, he has now reached to Plan D and the end is not in sight. The drama will go on until establishment makes sure that the wings of Nawaz Sharif have been clipped. Billions of rupees have been spent on these public gatherings and still billions are in the pipelines. Who is funding Imran Khan and his campaigns? Jehangir Tareen and Azam Swati have limited pockets. Anyway, the recent announcement from the ruling party PML-N is right that now enough is enough and they are going to confront Imran Khan instead of negotiating with him.
It seems that the whole country is on the mercy of Imran’s dictation. Electronic media is already with Imran on the order of establishment, so they would keep this nefarious campaign alive. Asif Ali Zardari, the chairperson of PPP is right when he says that the Imran Khan’s politics seem to be directed by the ‘finger of the umpire’. Imran has always been a toady of establishment. Umpire and establishment are synonyms here and its the same umpire Imran is waiting for. Imran has threatened to close down the Lahore, Karachi, Faisalabad and then whole of Pakistan in December. Government must take Imran face on and stop him whatever it takes. Imran needs spanking and quite a hard one to bring him back to his senses. This TV drama should end now.
