What skies have fallen that there is so much unrest on the political scene. It seems that everything is uncertain and disintegrating. Government of PML-N seems paralyzed, scared, immobile, and clueless as what to do. They are failing, tripping, and running amok here and there aimlessly and the whole scenario disgusts me. During last 5 years of Pakistan Peoples’ Party; GEO group, former chief justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, PML-N passively didn’t provide PPP room for breathing. PML-N can be given credit that at least they didn’t try to topple the PPP government. But GEO and Iftikhar Chaudhry spared no chance to try to overthrow the elected government of PPP. So instead of putting all focus on economy, energy and other national issues, PPP spent all of its time to survive.
But did you see PPP tumbling and tripping like PML-N is doing now as Imran Khan, Tahir ul Qadri, and Chaudhry Shujaat are gearing up to protest? It means that the PML-N is not solid enough and its roots among the people are not deep enough. It means that their leadership is not resilient enough and lacks the tact. Besides as usual they have locked horn with the military. Even a halfwit idiot can see that in Pakistan you cannot survive if you say No to military. You have to keep them appeased and you have to take their dictator on issues like WoT, Indian relations, Afghan relations and general foreign policy. You have to give them in budget whatever they ask. You have to release Musharraf when they say that. That’s grim and bitter, but that’s how cookie crumbles in Pakistan.
PPP being the champion of democracy having lost it’s two top leaders, ZAB and BB to the dictatorship, will remain steadfast with the PML-N if something happens to endanger democracy. We are not basically supporting PML-N but only we are supporting democracy and we are safeguarding will of people which they showed on the ballet. Clearly PTI, PAT, and PML-Q want to derail the democracy as there is no other chance for them to come into the power. They have tried for decades but there is no niche for them. They think that just because establishment is angry with PML-N, they have a chance. Establishment is also covertly encouraging them to twist the arms of Nawaz Sharif. But PPP won’t become part of this dirty game, as PPP stands with the democracy.
