Recipe for NAN KHATAI
Ingredients
- Ghee or butter— one cup
- Grinded castor sugar— one cup
- Flour — 8 oz
- Green cardamom (Chhoti illaichi) — 10
- Almonds and pistachios —finely chopped as required
- Baking powder —1 tbsp
- Semolina (sooji) — 1 tbsp
Cooking Directions
Beat ghee and butter till the color of the resulting batter changes and it forms a white paste.
Next add semolina and mix well.Then slowly add flour and keep beating.
Now make small balls of the dough.Coat it with almonds and pistachios and press them so that they remain fixed on the balls.
Preheat the oven at 350 deg F and bake for 20 minutes.
