Recipe for Coconut Pulao
Ingredients
- 1 cup Rice
- 2 cloves
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2 cardamom
- 1 cinnamon
- 5 tbsps green peas
- 1 carrot sliced
- 3 tbsps Cashewnuts
- 1 cup coconut milk
- 1 tsp butter
- 1 tsp oil
- to taste salt
Cooking Directions
Wash rice and keep aside. Put 2 cups of water and boil.
Heat butter and oil in a pressure cooker, add onion, cloves, cinnamon and cardamoms and fry till onion becomes translucent.
Add green peas and carrot and fry for some time.
Then add rice, coconut milk, cahsewnuts, 2 cups of hot water and salt and pressure cook for 1 whistle.
Allow the steam to escape before opening. Serve hot
