Recipe for Kashmiri Lamb
Ingredients
- 1 kilo lamb shoulder
- 1 tbsp garam masala
- 2 tbsps curry powder
- 1 cup cream
- 3 tbsps blanched almonds
- 5 tbsps clarified butter
- 6 garlic cloves, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup dried apricot
- 2 onions, sliced
- 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- to taste Salt
Cooking Directions
In a bowl add meat, soured cream, garam masala and curry powder, mix well and leave for two hours.
Heat clarified butter in a pan and fry almonds till golden remove from the pan, do the same with the apricots, remove from the pan.
Fry onion, ginger and garlic till golden. Add meat in pan with the marinade, cook for 5 minutes Add apricots simmer till meat is tender.
Add a little water,then wait till water dries Garnish with the almonds.
