Recipe for AFGHANI CHICKEN
Ingredients
- 800 grams Chicken boneless
- 4 tbsps Ginger Garlic Paste
- 3/4 cup Onion chopped
- 1 tsp Red Chili Powder
- 5 tbsps cashewnut paste
- 2 tsps sesame seeds
- 1 tsp nutmeg powder
- to taste Salt
- 1 cup Yogurt
- 1/2 cup Oil
- 2 green cardamoms
- 2 bayleaf
- 4 tsps Green coriander
Cooking Directions
Mix ginger paste, garlic paste, sliced onions, red chili powder, cashewnut paste, sesame seeds, nutmeg and salt with yogurt.
Marinate the chicken in this mixture for 20 mins
Heat oil in a thick-bottomed pan. Add the whole spices and stir-fry till they change color
Add the chicken along with the marinade, bring to a boil and simmer for 5mins
Add 400ml water and boil for 3 mins.
Cook till the chicken is tender and the gravy thickens
Remove to a serving dish and garnish it
