Recipe for Badami Dahi Baray
Ingredients
- Daal Mash-1Cup (Wash it then put in the warm water for 4 hours)
- Daal Mong-1/2 cup (Wash it then put in the warm water for 4 hours)
- Garlic cloves-3
- Onion-1
- Milk-1cup
- Sugar-2tbsp
- Almonds (chopped)-8
- Dry ginger (Sonth) ground-1/2tbsp
- Salt- As required
- Chat Masala-1/2tbsp
- Ginger-1/2 inch piece
- Yogurt-1kg
- Cornflour-1tbsp
- Ginger (chopped)-1tbsp
- Tamarind (Imli) thick syrup-1cup
- White Cumin (grind n ground)-1tbsp
- Black salt (Kala Namak)-1 pinch
- Baking Powder-1tsp
- Oil for frying- As required
Cooking Directions
First of all filter out both Daal’s n put onion, garlic and blend it well.
After that add baking powder in this paste n mix it, Now leave it for a while.
Take a bowl, Put yogurt, salt, cornflour, sugar, milk and beat it well.
Now take tamarind syrup and add Sonth, cumin, chat masala, and cook it after 5 min take out 1/2 tamarind syrup.
After that take remaining tamarind syrup and add sugar. Your Chatni is ready. When it get cold then add black salt and salt.
Take a cooking bowl and heat up oil in it, When oil gets hot then fry Daal mixture. When it become golden brown then dip in to warm water mixed already salt.
After 2 minutes take out the Baray and dip into another water which already added salt n 2 tbsp of yogurt.
Now Dish Out 1/2 Yogurt mixture and put Baray in it.
Then pour remaining Yogurt in it.
Garnish it with almonds, ginger and chat masala.
Serve it with Tamarind Chatni.
