Bhit Shah
Bhit Shah is a small town located in Matiari District, Sindh, Pakistan. It is most famous for being the location of the shrine of Sindh''s greatest sufi poet, Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai. While passing along the road that leaves Haala for Hyderabad, one sees further away, beyond the shrubs, big white mounds which form the hills that are called bhit in Sindhi. The Bhit is a solitary group of sandy mounds which , in the Sun,present to the eye a very bright and shiny spot;the glittering sand sparkle in the burning sun.Among these sandy mounds the great poet of Sindh made his little cave where he dived into himself to solve the problem of soul.Even when he was a boy, he used to turn away from haunts of men and disappear into the thick group of shrubs, that surround these sand-hills.
