Karachi Astronomers’ Society (KaAS) is a non-profit scientific organization that solely operates with the motto of promoting the science of astronomy in Pakistan and abroad.

It organizes events for the general public as well as the amateur astronomers of the country. You can find a complete history of society’s achievements on its website.

You are cordially invited to our society’s 11th Rutjuga (all night astronomy session) on February 05-06th 2011 Insha Allah. Please come and join us to say hello to a few billions of our cosmic friends under a pitch dark sky away from hustle and bustle of the busy city life. Details are as follows:

Date: February 05th & 06th, 2011.
Venue: Goth Haji Ismail Khan (20km from Noorani Morr)
Transportation: Society provided. * You can bring in your own car if you wish.
Food: Dinner of 05th and Breakfast of 06th will Insha Allah be arranged by KaAS.
Departure: PECHS block 6, Telephone exchange at 01:30 pm sharp.
Registration Fee: ** Rs. 1500/- (This amount covers transport and food).
Registration Deadline: February 02nd, 2011.

* - 13km are unpaved roads. Cars with low ground clearance may have problem on that patch of the road.
