Subject : Gojal::: A Forgotten Edge Of Pakistan
Gojal is where Pakistan begins. Featuring the cluster of tiny and large valleys, Gojal, the upper Hunza, is in the north of Gilgit, right at the edge of Pakistan. Gojal is the largest tehsil (sub-district) of Gilgit-Baltistan sharing borders with Afghanistan and China. It is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful places of Pakistan. Surprisingly, not many Pakistanis have seen it or even heard of it. Let’s have a look at the gorgeous valleys that house lofty peaks, striking glaciers, frozen lakes and eye catching scenery.

Attabad Lake was created in 2010 after a landslide. It majorly affected the economy of the Gojal Valley as it blocked the Karakorum Highway. The people now travel through boats.
