Sarfraz Ahmed was the top scorer for the team as he remained unbeaten at 58 runs from 42 balls with five boundaries and two sixes to his name.Shoaib Malik made 41 runs from 30 balls with the help of five fours and a six. Pakistan were struggling at 28/4 following the dismissals of Khurram Manzoor, Sharjeel Khan, Mohammad Hafeez and Umar Akmal when Malik and Sarfraz built-up 70-run partnership to take the total to 98, making Pakistan set a defendable target. Apart from the two Pakistani batsmen, no other player could provide any solid contribution to the team. They put up a 70-run partnership on the 5th wicket.
