Subject : ICC may ban Pakistan??? Pakistani all-rounder Muhammad Hafeez banned for 12 months from bowling, as his action is illegal according to the rule of International Cricket Council (ICC). His bowling action was found illegal second time since November last year. After the period of 12 months, his action will be reassessed by ICC. 34 years old Hafeez had undergone a bowling action test at an ICC lab in Chennai on 6th July after his action was reported after Galle’s test against Sri Lanka. The reports suggest Hafeez’s action exceed the allowed 15 degrees limit. This is not the first time Pakistani bowlers are facing such bans. Earlier Saeed Ajmal the world class off spinner was banned because of illegal action. The first bowler to get banned was also Pakistani, the fast bowler Shabbir Ahmed was banned from International cricket after his bowling action was found inappropriate.
There are many bowlers, specifically off spinners who have questionable actions, I fail to figure out why always Pakistani players face bans? Is there a reason behind ICC’s special attention towards Pakistani players? After banning Muhammad Hafeez ICC must be planning to get rid of other Pakistani players as well. If we analyze the action of Muhammad Hafeez it looks perfectly fine with a naked eye whereas, there are certain bowlers whose actions are questionable. Indian off-spinner Ashwin has a very suspicious action. I wonder why his bowling action is never questioned.
