Abdul Aziz Al-Sheikh Fatwa saying drivers who break the red signal not only break law but also commit sin according to Islam. Mufti further says if a person breaks the signal and it causes the death of other person it is actually involuntary Man slaughter.

Also, when you break a signal, you are actually taking away others right to pass. Infringing on others right is Hara'am.
