Subject : Easypaisa ATM card- Pakistan (closed) The ATM cards for its mobile account holders have been officially launched by Easypaisa, according to The Nation. The paper said that earlier that year after the soft launch of Easypaisa ATM cards, for its mobile account holders Easypaisa has now commercially launched the cards. ATM cards can be got by Easypaisa Mobile Account holders from Tameer Bank branches or Telenor Service Centers. At Rs. 200 per ATM card, Card Issuance charges are set while Rs. 25 per transaction are the transaction charges. Easypaisa mobile account holders will be able to withdraw the cash through any 1-link ATM machines across Pakistan with ATM cards and will no longer be required to visit Easypaisa outlets. According to Omar Moeen, Head of Strategy for Easypaisa, in Pakistan, a person with CNIC can open on his Mobile Phone a free bank account in less than two minutes, pick an ATM card and easily link it to his account. Strong growth is seen by mobile financial service providers in their transactions of person-to-person in which permanent mobile accounts are not required. In the country, number of mobile account holders is not very impressive, on the other hand. However, required incentive may be given to masses by services like ATM cards, to have mobile accounts ultimately. More services like mobile apps and net banking to manage mobile account can boost the usage further.
