From Ishq-e-Mamnoo to Muhabbat Eik Itefaq – a journey from the small screen to the Silver! After the telecast of numerous Turkish dramas dubbed in Urdu ranging from Ishq-e-Memnoo to Fatima Gul to Junoon Tere Ishq Ka, viewers have had a fine flavor of the drama industry in Turkey. However, it is time to dub the silver screen hits of Turkey and so, ‘Ask Tesadüfleri Sever’ whose Urdu name is ‘Muhabbat Eik Itefaq’ is next as Pakistan’s ‘first-ever Turkish movie dubbed in Urdu to release not only in Pakistan but also in India and Bangladesh’. Ask Tesadüfleri Sever was released in February 2011. The total business of the movie hit a high score of 50 million USD and is one of the highest grossing Turkish films, with a first weekend hit of 1,779,485 USD, of the year.

And now Turkish movie… Muhabbat Eik Itefaq To Hit Pakistani Cinemas Soon

The story revolves around Deniz who is an aspiring actress and is in love with Buraq but her profession is what Buraq’s parents do not accede to. However, Deniz is an ambitious girl and refuses to give up her career at any cost. Ozgur is a photographer who meets Deniz in an exhibition and they realize that they had met before. To put it more accurately, perhaps they had had a series of coincidences to connect them with each other spread from Ankara to Istanbul over a span of more than 25 years. Deniz’s acting career entangled with her relationship with Buraq and then Ozgur falling for Deniz. This love triangle is an absolute treat to watch with a totally unpredictable and classic climax. Muhabbat Eik Itefaq should be a Must-Watch.

Credit must also be given to the production team in Pakistan including Sohail Productions where the entire post-production work has taken place from dubbing to mixing, effects, theatrical trailer and the final printing of the movie itself to be screened in the cinemas. The voice-over lot of artists including names like Muaz Raja for Ozgur, Fatima Khan (yea that’s me) for Deniz, Riffat Abbas for Buraq, Tariq Rao, Mazhar, Areeba Sohail, Danial Sohail, Shazia Shahid, Shama, Naghnama Tahir, Umer Saud, Usama Bin Hijazy, Habiba and many others. Muhabbat Eik Itefaq is expected to release before Eid ul Adha. The theatrical promo shall soon hit 18 cinemas across Pakistan including cities of Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi. After Pakistan, the film is expected to release in India and Bangladesh later this year. A treat for those who wish to watch a ‘good’ movie in cinema and the pinch of Urdu is a bonus.
