Recipe for Pizza Ala Delhi


  • 1/2 kg Wheat flour
  • 1/4 cup Oil
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Dry milk powder
  • 1 tbsp Instant yeast
  • Luke warm water to knead as required
  • For Topping :
  • 1/2 cup Yellow lentil boiled
  • 1 chopped in cubes Capsicum
  • 2 chopped into cubes Tomato
  • 3 sliced Mushrooms
  • 1/2 cup Onion chopped
  • 1/2 cup Pizza sauce
  • 1/2 cup heaped Cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup heaped Mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tsp Oregano leaves

Cooking Directions

In a bowl mix together ½ kg flour, 1 tsp salt, 1 tbsp yeast, 1
tsp sugar, ¼ cup oil, 1 tbsp dry milk powder, mix well, knead into a soft dough with lukewarm water as required.

Let the dough rest in a warm place for 13 minutes, spread dough in a greased 12 inches pizza plate, spread base with ½
cup pizza sauce, top with ½ cup boiled lentil, ½ cup chopped onion, 1 tomato cut into cubes, 1 capsicum cut into cubes, 3 sliced mushroom and 1 tsp oregano leaves.

Spread with both the cheese, bake in a hot oven 200 degree C for 30 minutes.

Serve sprinkled with crushed pepper.
