Recipe for MUTTON CHOPS

Ingredients

  • 1 cup chops
  • 1/2 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 2 tsps vinegar
  • 4 tsps mustard oil
  • 1 tsp chilli powder
  • 1/4 cup gram flour
  • 3 green chillies
  • 6 garlic cloves
  • 1 papaya chopped

Cooking Directions

Marinate chops in lime juice, vinegar, chilli powder and a pinch of salt

Heat mustard oil in a pan and add gram flour, stirring continuously until the flour forms a smooth paste.Transfer the paste to a bowl and leave to cool.

In a blender add chilies, garlic, papaya and 1tsp of oil and blend to a smooth paste.

Mix both pastes over the marinated meat and refrigerate for a minimum of 2 hours.

Preheat the oven.Lift the chops out of the marinade and wipe off any excess

Heat 1 tbsp oil in a frying pan and fry chops for a couple of minutes on each side until browned.

Transfer to a oven tray and roast for 20 minutes
Serve chops with chutney
