First of all comparison of Education with Nuclear assets cant be done in any way. Both have their own importance. But In a country like Pakistan, people don't actually know importance of education, neither our people nor our policy makers. From my eye, education is top most importqnt thing other than any thing else whether its nuclear weapons or anything else. Our people are still unable to understand that.
If we talk about HEC, it was providing tremendous services to education sector and serving nation in real sense. Investment in education sector starts giving outcomes in 20 to 30 years when we have those highly educated people on working and important positions. HEC opened doors of education for everyone and many many students studied through their scholarships etc, which otherwise was not possible for them. Similarly bringing Pakistani talent back to Pakistan, promoting research, monitoring universities etc are few invaluable services by HEC. So, whether its dissolved or devolved, will be greatest loss to Pakistan.
We don't need "Pakistan Cantt". We need an educated and prospering Pakistan. We cant compete to anyone just through power whether its nuclear or any other. We need good scientists, good engineers, good researchers which make Pakistan to develop own technologies, own weapons and everything rather than just buying from others and saying it our power. Actual powers are economical powers and powers of educated masess not just so called military power.
