Salman Khan’s upcoming movie “Tubelight” – which is set to be released on Eid-ul-Fitr – may not be released in Pakistan. According to an Indian news website, Tubelight may not get a green signal for release on Eid in Pakistan as the cinema owners want to ensure good business for Pakistani films during the holidays. Actor Mustafa Qureshi said that the business of Pakistani films will take a hit if “Tubelight” is released on Eid-ul-Fitr. Chairman of the Pakistan Film Distributors Association Chaudhry Ejaz Kamran has also supported the move stating that it was unfair to ask Pakistani film industry to compete with Bollywood on Eid. Producer Altaf Hussain has stated that the film distributors are planning to send a letter to Prime Minister Nawaz regarding the matter as well.
